Robotic Software Engineer

Experience and Responsibilities:

• Spend time off site with relevant team members to support build phases
• Delivering significant innovation in software engineering with applications across clients globally
• Use of offline programming techniques and software
• Evaluating robotics equipment is required
• Commission and test control systems and software
• Engage in further training to develop programming skills
• Liaising with hardware engineering, site installation teams and commissioning engineers
• An understanding of how to develop a shared codebase as part of a team
• Teaming with mechanical engineers and electricians for installation and commissioning of the project
• Liaising with project management, engineering and installation teams

Essential Competencies:

• Minimum of A-C grade Maths and English is a must
• BSc/BEng degree in Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer science preferred
• Good level of computer literacy
• Good report writing skills
• Able to act on own initiative, make decisions and work under pressure
• Clean driving license & own transport would be advantageous
• Willing to travel to site when necessary
