Reeco Automation Helps Ornua Future-Proof End-of-Line Operations
As production demand continued to grow at Britain's largest cheese production facility, Ornua faced a challenge familiar to many manufacturers: maintaining efficient end-of-line operations while relying on manual palletising processes.

At Ornua’s Leek site, where large volumes of cheese products are processed every day, ensuring consistency, safety and reliability was essential to supporting continued production.
To address this challenge, Ornua partnered with Reeco Automation to introduce a robotic palletising solution designed specifically around the site's operational requirements.
Following a detailed consultation, Reeco Automation supplied and installed three RB2000 robotic palletisers alongside Smart Conveyors, creating an automated end-of-line system capable of operating within the demanding production environment.
The solution was designed to improve palletising efficiency, reduce manual handling and deliver consistent pallet quality, while also providing the flexibility needed to support future growth.
By automating a physically demanding process, operators were able to focus on higher-value activities, helping improve both productivity and workplace ergonomics.
For manufacturers operating high-volume production lines, reliability is critical. Every element of the system was engineered to integrate seamlessly with Ornua's existing processes, delivering dependable and repeatable performance shift after shift.
The RB2000 robotic palletisers provide consistent product handling and pallet build quality, helping to reduce variation and maintain smooth production flow. Combined with Reeco's Smart Conveyor technology, the complete solution ensures efficient movement of products throughout the end-of-line process.
The success of the installation has strengthened the relationship between Reeco Automation and Ornua, with the performance of the system leading to further investment in automation.
Ornua has since committed to purchasing an additional four RB2000 cobot palletisers, demonstrating their confidence in Reeco's technology and its continued focus on improving production efficiency.
